Hello, my name is Andre Taylor, and I am a mortgage loan officer with Guaranteed Rate Affinity. I have been in the mortgage business for over 12 years. I started in 2004 but took a break after the mortgage industry crash in 2008. I re-entered the field in 2016, and I love helping people find their dream home or explore new investment opportunities. A little about me: I joined the military at 17 and served for a total of 25 years—12.5 years in the Army and 12.5 years in the Air Force. I am a retired Major. My final active-duty tour was with CENTCOM, where I helped military personnel deploy and redeploy from Afghanistan and Iraq. I hold a master's degree in criminal justice and worked in corrections for about 11 years as a correctional officer, case manager, and Warden's Assistant. I've lived a very "Forrest Gump" life, with diverse experiences along the way. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my wife, traveling, savoring a nice cigar, and training for triathlons. Every year, for my birthday, I set a physical goal—whether it's bench pressing 300 lbs, training for a triathlon, or riding a distance I've never completed before. My passion is helping veterans and first-time homebuyers find their dream home.
