Helping homebuyers across Florida and Illinois purchase homes with confidence, clarity, and a financing strategy built around their goals.

Hi, I'm Jennifer Roy, a mortgage loan officer serving homebuyers throughout Florida and Illinois. With more than 36 years of mortgage industry experience, I've helped 2,500+ families successfully navigate the home financing process with confidence.
I especially enjoy helping self-employed borrowers, veterans, and homebuyers with complex financial situations find the right mortgage solution. Whether you're purchasing your first home, buying your next home using VA second-tier eligibility, or navigating unique income scenarios, I'll help you understand your options and create a lending strategy that works for your goals—not just your current transaction.

I proudly serve communities throughout Florida, including Orlando, Winter Park, Maitland, Altamonte Springs, Oviedo, Longwood, Winter Springs, Lake Mary, Windermere, Celebration, Four Corners, Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Naples, Sarasota, Lakeland, Winter Haven, Plant City, Crystal River, Mount Dora, Leesburg, Jacksonville, Gainesville, Ocala, The Villages, Daytona Beach, the Space Coast, Vero Beach, Fort Pierce, the Treasure Coast, Stuart, Jupiter, West Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Miami, and the Florida Keys.

In Illinois, I serve the Chicago metropolitan area, including Geneva, Batavia, St. Charles, Naperville, Aurora, Elgin, Elmhurst, Wheaton, Oak Park, Arlington Heights, Barrington, Hoffman Estates, Schaumburg, Bartlett, Algonquin, Crystal Lake, DeKalb, Elburn, Hampshire, Sugar Grove, Cary, Rockford, Freeport, the Quad Cities, Galena, Jo Daviess County, Dixon, Rochelle, Sterling, and surrounding communities.

I offer a wide range of mortgage solutions, including:

* FHA Loans
* VA Loans
* Conventional Loans
* Jumbo Loans
* DSCR Loans
* Bank Statement Loans
* Down Payment Assistance Programs

My background in underwriting and loan processing gives my clients a unique advantage. I know how loans are evaluated behind the scenes, allowing me to structure financing that moves through underwriting as smoothly as possible—even when income is complex or a transaction requires creative problem-solving.

More importantly, I believe every client deserves to be heard. I take the time to understand where you are today, where you want to be, and the different paths available to help you get there. I don't disappear after closing, either. In fact, I'm still working with the very first client I ever originated a loan for over three decades ago. My goal is to be your mortgage resource for life.

What sets me apart?

* Over 36 years of mortgage experience helping more than 2,500 families.
* Extensive expertise with self-employed borrowers, veterans, and complex income scenarios.
* Honest guidance focused on long-term financial success—not simply getting a loan approved.
* Strong communication with clients, Realtors®, and listing agents to keep every transaction moving smoothly.
* Flexible appointments by phone, online, or in person, with quick responses evenings and weekends.
* A commitment to educating clients so they understand every step of the mortgage process.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you need 20% down to buy a home?
Not at all. Many buyers qualify with as little as 3% to 5% down, and some loan programs offer even more flexible options depending on eligibility.

What credit score do you need?
Every situation is different. There are mortgage programs available for a wide range of credit profiles, and I'll help you determine which options fit your circumstances.

How much home can you afford?
That depends on your income, assets, debts, and long-term goals. I'll walk you through the numbers so you can make a confident, informed decision.

I've been fortunate to help thousands of families achieve homeownership throughout Florida and Illinois, and I'm proud to be a trusted lending partner for both homebuyers and real estate professionals. My clients appreciate that I'm responsive, honest, easy to reach, and genuinely invested in helping them succeed. If I don't immediately have an answer, I'll find it—and you'll always know where your loan stands.

Outside of work, I've been married to my husband, Scott, for 35 years. We have three daughters and a Bernedoodle named Lucy, and we're active in our church and local community. I enjoy traveling, photography, quilting, embroidery, and cooking. For more than 20 years I've volunteered with Habitat for Humanity, teaching homeownership education classes, participating in home builds, and supporting its mission of expanding access to homeownership. I've also served as a Girl Scout leader, youth pastor, and participated in multiple youth mission trips to Central America.

To me, this business has always been about relationships. Whether you're buying your first home, upgrading to your next one, refinancing, or simply exploring your options, I'm here to provide honest advice, clear communication, and support you can count on long after closing.

If you're ready to buy, refinance, or simply have questions about your mortgage options, I'd love to help. Let's connect.
